Prof. Dr.Ninlawan Pecharaburanin, 66, of Phetchaboon, the founder of the BRIA group of companies has passed on Monday, Febuary 15, 2016 from heart failure.
As a graduate of Medical Technology from Mahidol University, she earned her Ph.D. in Bioscience Management from the San Francisco Technical University.
She contributed much to her hometown, Phetchaboon. She was formerly a chairperson of the Federation of Phetchaboon Industries and a chairperson of the biotechnology section of the Federation of Thai Industries. She was also a chairperson of the Thai Senate Committee on Science, Technology, Energy and Telecommunication of The Senate of Thailand from 2008-2014. She was appointed to be a member of the Board of the Research and Development Fund for Broadcasting and Telecommunication, under the Office of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunication Commission and had served since 2014. She also founded and had been active on the Institute Science for Sustainable Future since 2014.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter: Thitiyuth Pichayayothin, Tosapol Pichayayothin and Dr.Nipat Pichayayothin Bock.

The research paper is entitled Noninvasive Prenatal Testing and Screening Tests for Trisomies 21, 18 and 13 in 4,736 Pregnancies.
